The paint correction detail we offer turns your car shiny and looking new again. Here is what we do to make this happen:
First, we clean your car using a car cleaning foam followed by a contact wash
Second, we clay bar your cars paint. The clay bar removes foreign contaminants in order to prepare for buffing the car.
Third, we use a 3 step buffing process on the cars paint in order to remove any additional contaminants from the cars paint and allows for a clean surface for the new ceramic coat that will be added.
Fourth, we apply the new ceramic coat to your cars paint. The ceramic coat helps protect your paint from damage, and the hydrophobic affect it adds also stops water spots from appearing on your car after it rains. The ceramic coat lasts for about 6 months.
Why all of the preparation steps? Images show ceramic-coated cars with swirl-free paint and zero imperfections, but a ceramic coating alone won’t get your vehicle any closer to ideal. Coat an imperfect car and you’ll simply lock those imperfections beneath a slick, protective layer. If you want glass-smooth paint all of the preparation steps are necessary.
What is a 3 step buffing process? We use 3 different buffing pads that are increasingly finer grit sandpaper. The buffing pad allows us to get tiny scratches and swirls out of your paint. We use 3 steps in order to be sure that all of the scratches are out and that the surface is clean so it allows for a stronger bond between your cars paint and the ceramic coating.
Not sure that a ceramic coating is for you? Here is why you should get the work done. The bond between a ceramic coating and your paint is strong enough to stand up to towels and light abrasions—far better than conventional wax. Ceramic coatings are more durable, stronger, and amazingly hydrophobic. On a waxed car, water will form beads, but our ceramic coating we use is so water-repellant that you’ll see water droplets forming grouping together and balling up, that roll right off the car. Those droplets trap dirt and oils as they roll away, meaning that a ceramic-coated car will get a wash every time it rains. And when you do take the time to wash a ceramic-coated car with soap and water, grime and debris come off a lot easier. So, getting a ceramic coating for your car is well worth your time and the benefits far outweigh the initial cost to get the work done.
